Freight Intel: What Customers Can Do with Analytics

Early last year, Freight Club launched its analytics dashboard, Freight Intel. Freight Intel was the answer developed by Freight Club for its customers who needed a real-time and transparent view of their shipping and carrier data for making informed shipping decisions. On the Freight Intel dashboard, retailers can map shipping trends, and monitor and analyze carrier performances, damage rate percentages, claims statuses, overage charges, and more.

What can Freight Intel help you with?

Here’s what you can do with Freight Intel:

The metrics on the Freight Intel dashboard help retailers break down their shipping data, helping them gain insight and make cost-saving decisions. Retailers can dig deeper into their booking, tracking, claims, and overage data to find easy opportunities for reducing their shipping costs.

  • Booking- the booking tab allows retailers to deep-dive into their freight spend, shipment count, and the average cost of shipment.

  • Tracking- Retailers are now able to track their shipment and make informed choices with their carrier based on the data that highlight the length of time each carrier takes for both pick-up and delivery. They are also able to track the performance of the carriers based on speed, cost, and damage rate and choose the ones that would work best with their products.

  • Claims - We have made it easier for retailers to monitor their claims using Freight Intel. Claims from damages and loss contribute to the inflated costs associated with shipping. The new tab allows for insight into:

  1. The number of orders that ended up being damaged or lost,

  2. The carriers or routes that experienced the most damage/loss

  3. The number of claims that were approved

  4. The status of outstanding claims

  • Overages- the overage tab allows retailers to see how much they have been paying in overages and where these charges come from. With this specific information, retailers can analyze the areas of high overages and make changes in their shipping process to reduce the additional cost.

With Freight Intel, retailers can optimize their shipping strategy and be on top of their shipping performance. Freight Intel gives retailers the opportunity to turn shipping into a competitive advantage based on their products and customers’ needs.
